Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) Preparation

Practise for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination with timed mock tests in Mathematics, intelligence, language, general knowledge and science, each with step-by-step explanations.

What is AISSEE?

The All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) is the admission test for Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools across India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), usually once a year, as a pen-and-paper test with multiple-choice questions.

Students write the Class 6 paper while they are in Class 5, and the Class 9 paper while they are in Class 8. Girls are eligible for Class 6 admission, and for Class 9 subject to seat availability as per the notice for the year.

Sample AISSEE-style questions

  1. A train travels 180 km in 3 hours. How far will it travel in 5 hours at the same speed?

    Show answer

    Answer: B. 300 km

    Speed = 180 ÷ 3 = 60 km per hour. In 5 hours: 60 × 5 = 300 km.

  2. Find the next number: 3, 6, 12, 24, ?

    Show answer

    Answer: C. 48

    Each number is double the one before it: 24 × 2 = 48.

  3. An item bought for ₹400 is sold for ₹460. What is the profit percentage?

    Show answer

    Answer: B. 15%

    Profit = 460 − 400 = ₹60. Profit % = (60 ÷ 400) × 100 = 15%.
