Tips for parents of Class 1 students
- Keep sessions short: 10–15 minutes of practice is plenty at this age.
- Sit with your child and use the Listen button so the question is read aloud while they follow along.
- Use real objects at home (spoons, toys, coins) to explain counting, adding and taking away.
- Praise effort and careful reading, not only correct answers.
